Bohdan's business career has spanned more than 40 years.

Bob (Bohdan) Leshchyshen has been a member of Buduchnist Credit Union for over 60 years and was first elected to the Board of Directors in 1993. He presently serves as Vice-Chairman and sits on the following committees: Executive Committee, Audit Committee, Human Resources Committee and Investment Committee (Chairman).

He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Toronto and an Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto – Faculty of Management Studies (Rotman School of Management) and holds a CFA designation (Chartered Financial Analyst) from the CFA Institute.

  • Bohdan's chartered bank and credit union regulatory experience includes senior positions with the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO) and the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Federal regulator) and credit lending positions with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

  • Bohdan has had extensive research and analytical experience with several prominent equity research and credit-rating organizations, including Independent Equity Research (eResearch), Northern Securities, St. James Securities, Dominion Bond Rating Service, PPM Fund Mangers (Canada), a unit of Prudential Life Insurance Company, and McNeil Mantha

  • Public and private directorships included the following: Director of Selient Inc., a public company providing lending software to credit unions in Canada (2003-2007); Director of Northwest & Ethical Investments LLP (formerly The Ethical Funds Inc.), a mutual fund company owned by the Credit Union Centrals in Canada and the Desjardins Movement in Quebec (2006-2009); Director of the following public companies: Centric Health Corp. (2006-2009), Tri-Vision International Ltd. (2004-2007) and Northern Sphere Mining Corp. (presently)
